Zaxbys Has 4 New Menu Items, and We Want Them All

Zaxbys has a beloved menu, from chicken classics to the fan-favorite Chicken Finger Tacos. And while the chain is known for a delicious dipping sauce that perfectly complements its chicken tenders and sandwiches, there’s one avenue that Zaxbys hasn’t explored—until now.

For the first time, the saucy chicken chain is adding a brand-new flavor with a first-of-its-kind seasoning to the menu, and fans are raving.

Zaxbys Adds Lemon Pepper Dry Rub to Its Menu

Zaxbys just released a dry rub flavor, and it’s the first time the chain has ever done so. The new flavor, Lemon Pepper, pays homage to the chain’s headquarters in Atlanta, which is widely considered the birthplace of lemon pepper wings thanks to institutions such as the Georgia chain American Deli.

In a press release, the brand described the new flavor as a “bold, buttery blend of zesty lemon and cracked black pepper.” And it pairs perfectly with Zaxbys’ classic menu staples.

However, Zaxbys isn’t the first chicken chain to test out the iconic flavor. Popeye’s fans are devoted to the Louisiana chain’s Honey Lemon Pepper Wings, which have an extra sweet flavor. And Buffalo Wild Wings offers both a lemon pepper sauce and a dry rub for its wings.

No matter what kind of chicken you prefer, the new Zaxbys Lemon Pepper lineup has something for everyone. If you like classic wings, you can try the new dry rub in a five-count order of either traditional or boneless wings. Or try the Chicken Fingerz Plate with four Lemon Pepper hand-breaded tenders. And for the best of both worlds, the Wings & Things meal features a combination of five Lemon Pepper traditional or boneless wings, plus three Chicken Fingerz. Each of these meals comes with french fries, Texas Toast, ranch, and a small drink.

Zaxbys is also debuting the new dry rub in sandwich form. The all-new Lemon Pepper Sandwich Meal features a Lemon Pepper chicken fillet on a toasted bun, paired with those signature Crinkle Fries and a small drink.

Fans are already trying—and loving—the new dry rub flavor. When the brand announced the new menu items on Instagram, one fan wrote “That [lemon] pepper is FIRE.” Someone else chimed in with, “Tried the tenders and it’s [one of the] top 2 items that aren’t the fries.”

To celebrate the new release, Zaxbys even partnered with Georgia rapper Quavo to surprise the first 5,000 fans with free Lemon Pepper wings. The offer was so popular it was gone within 24 hours.
