This Discontinued Fan-Favorite Candy Is Finally Back—With 2 New Flavors

Products come and go in the food world, and while sometimes fans aren’t too bothered by one disappearing from shelves, other times the news can be devastating. 

When I learned that Creme Savers, the fruit-and-creme hard candy, was discontinued in 2011, I was pretty upset. The swirled candy evokes such a nostalgic feeling in me. In the early 2000s, my dad used to keep individually wrapped Strawberries & Creme Creme Savers in his truck and it was a little treat to find one every time I would dig through the center console. Sure, in the summer, the hard candy got a little sticky, but that was all part of the fun.

After Mars Wrigley discontinued Creme Savers, fans begged the candy maker to bring the sweet, ice cream-like version of Life Savers candy back to shelves. However, these days, the company is more in the business of innovating its current line of products—like freeze-dried Skittles Pop’d or better-for-you Starburst Goodies—than rereleasing discontinued candy. But, there’s another company that exists to keep nostalgic candy on shelves: Iconic Candy. 

In 2021, Mars Wrigley licensed the Creme Savers name to Iconic Candy, which released the beloved Strawberries & Creme and Orange & Creme Creme Savers. Now, Iconic Candy is bringing back two more discontinued Creme Savers flavors—plus, introducing two all-new ones.

Creme Savers Has 4 Flavors Coming to Shelves, Including 2 New Ones

Iconic Candy is bringing back Chocolate & Caramel Creme Savers and Raspberries & Creme Creme Savers this year, as well as adding new Blueberries & Creme and Peaches & Creme to its lineup.

Chocolate & Caramel Creme Savers originally launched as part of Creme Savers’ core line, but they were quickly pulled in favor of production of the Strawberries & Creme and Orange & Creme flavors. Creme Savers later brought back the Chocolate & Caramel flavor, which was its only non-fruit flavor. 

The Chocolate & Caramel Creme Savers have a rich blend of chocolate and salty caramel flavors. Iconic Candy announced the flavor’s return in February, and it began rolling out to candy stores in April. While Chocolate & Caramel Creme Savers aren’t as widely available as its original flavors yet, it seems like they’ll hit shelves before the other new flavors.

And speaking of new flavors, at the 2025 Sweets & Snacks Expo, Iconic Candy teased that Raspberries & Creme, Blueberries & Creme, and Peaches & Creme Creme Savers will be hitting shelves soon. Two new sugar-free offerings, Sugar-Free Strawberries & Creme and Sugar-Free Orange & Creme, are also on their way.

Life Savers originally launched Raspberries & Creme as a fan-voted flavor, which beat out both Peaches and Blueberries & Creme. So, instead of making fans choose again, Iconic Candy is giving customers all three. That’s six flavors of Creme Savers for you to savor in total, plus the sugar-free versions.

We don’t have a confirmed date for the new flavors or the sugar-free flavors yet, so keep an eye on your store’s candy section, and stock up when they do make it to shelves.
