Key Takeaways
- Starbucks just confirmed the 2025 return date for the Pumpkin Spice Latte.
- Three other fan-favorite fall drinks will also return to the menu.
- The coffee chain also announced two new menu items coming this fall.
We’re still making our way through this month’s menu of new drinks at Starbucks as well as tinkering with last week’s not-so-secret menu release, customizing and perfecting our perfect summer order. But the siren says it’s fall, y’all.
Today, Starbucks dropped a ton of news for its beloved fall menu. We’ve got returning hits, new sure-to-be favorites, and an official launch date to kick off the autumn season.
And it’s coming sooner than you think.
Starbucks Announces Return of Pumpkin Spice Latte
The Pumpkin Spice Latte turns 20 this year, and Starbucks has no plans of taking this iconic drink off the menu. In a press release, the coffee chain confirmed that the PSL will return to fall menus—weeks before the season officially starts. Pumpkin Spice fans can get their fix as soon as August 26.
And it’s not the only beloved fall flavor making a return. Starbucks is bringing back four other sweater weather classics: Pumpkin Cream Cold Brew, Iced Pumpkin Cream Chai, and Pecan Crunch Oatmilk Latte.
The Seattle siren has been known to release some polarizing flavors around autumn, too. No Apple Crisp updates, yet, but Starbucks did share two new menu items coming this fall.
Starbucks Adds New Pecan Cortado To Fall Menu
Starbucks
After the success of other pecan-flavored beverages, Starbucks is adding an all-new Pecan Cortado to the menu, and, in this writer’s opinion, it is the best way to showcase pecan flavor.
If you’re a cortado newbie, this espresso beverage has a 1:1 ratio of coffee to steamed milk. And the milk is lightly steamed, allowing the espresso to pack a bolder punch. It’s like the flat white’s feisty little sister.
And with Starbucks’ signature pecan flavor, it’s basically a cup of roasted pecan pie. (No hate for PSL, but as a Southern gal, pecan pie is the fall dessert and this will absolutely be the first thing I order if I dip into fall drinks while it’s still summer.)
That’s not the only new release coming to fall menus. Starbucks also shared that a new food item will be making its debut: Italian Sausage Egg Bites. Our editors are big fans of the existing Egg Bites lineup, so needless to say, we’re definitely excited to try these.
It’s bittersweet to think about summer ending—especially while we’re still enjoying ice cream-inspired coffee to beat the heat—but if you’ve already started prepping for Halloween and tailgate season, Starbucks is rolling out the fall vibes so you won’t have to wait much longer.
