Sam’s Club Has a New Bakery Item and Fans Say It’s a ’10/10′

Starbucks may be known for its specialty beverages, but no coffee run is truly complete without something to snack on. With a variety of prepared foods and bakery items on deck—including sandwiches, pastries, and seasonal goodies—it’s easy to find a snack or a little treat to complement the caffeine. But when a quick coffee run starts to cost upwards of double digits, an extra bite might be the first thing to go.

Luckily for Starbucks fans, Sam’s Club has a brand-new bakery item that’s a look-alike for one of the coffee chain’s most popular treats, and it’s less than half the cost.

Sam’s Club Releases New Member’s Mark Cake Pops

Sam’s Club just added Member’s Mark Birthday Cake and Cookies ‘N Creme Cake Pops to its bakery section, and they look similar to a fan-favorite pop at Starbucks. But does the potential look-alike rival the OG pink treat?

The new Member’s Mark Birthday Cake Pop is almost identical to Starbucks’ original cake pop, but with an extra festive upgrade. Instead of white nonpareils like the coffee chain’s offering, the Sam’s Club version is drizzled with white chocolate and topped with rainbow sprinkles for extra celebration. The inside of the pop features a sweet vanilla cake, leaning into the nostalgic profile of a classic birthday cake.

Just as the birthday-flavored bite got a little extra oomph from Sam’s Club, the warehouse copycat of Starbucks’ cookies-and-cream pop is amped up and perfect for chocolate lovers. The Member’s Mark Cookies ‘N Creme Cake Pop features moist chocolate cake that’s fudgy and decadent, and the outside is coated with cookie crumbs. Starbucks’ iteration just has cookies on top.

Warehouse fan @samsclubfoodreviews tried the treat and shared their review on Instagram, noting that the new cake pops are “fun, flavorful, and definitely worth picking up before they disappear from the bakery.”

“Texture-wise, both cake pops are spot on,” they wrote after rating both flavors a 10/10. “They’re dense, chewy, and soft in the center.”

And while the cake itself sounds amazing, you can’t beat the price. With a 14-pack of the pops retailing for $18.98, Sam’s Club bite-sized sweets are definitely a steal at $1.36 each, especially when compared to the $3.25 price tag at Starbucks. 

Given that many other Sam’s Club bakery treats are limited-time-only offerings, it might be worth swinging by Sam’s Club now to snag a pack (and save almost $30 compared to buying in bulk from Starbucks). While you’re there, don’t miss the other seasonal snacks and baked goods, too.
