Oreo Is Bringing Back the Flavor Fans Begged for After 8 Years

Move over s’mores, it’s officially the summer of Oreo. Milk’s favorite cookie has already released its first-ever sweet-and-savory cookie in its Chocolate-Covered Pretzel cookie and teamed up with actress and singer Selena Gomez for a special, limited-edition cinnamon and chocolate flavored cookie.

You can even find the chocolate and crème cookie in a brand-new Birthday Cake Oreo Celebration ice cream flavor at Cold Stone Creamery. All that plus Oreo brought back its iconic S’moreo Cookies for a limited time—so maybe it’s actually the summer of s’mores and Oreo.

However, if you were excited about S’moreos returning for the first time since 2023, then you might be ecstatic about Oreo’s latest announcement. This summer, it’s bringing back one of its most highly requested discontinued flavors.

Oreo Is Bringing Back Its Blueberry Pie Cookies

No matter how many new flavors Oreo adds to its collection, fans will always beg for certain discontinued flavors to return. And Blueberry Pie is one of the brand’s top five most requested flavors, according to Oreo.

Just take a look at any of Oreo’s Instagram posts and you’re likely to find at least one fan asking, “Can you please bring back Blueberry Pie?” in the comment section.

So, for the first time since 2017, Oreo’s seasonal summer flavor will be back on shelves. Blueberry Pie Oreos feature two graham cracker-flavored cookies sandwiched with a sweet yet tangy, bright blue blueberry-flavored crème. 

While it took eight years for fans to get the flavor back, Blueberry Pie Oreos aren’t sticking around for good. Oreo is releasing the fan-favorite cookie for a limited time this summer. 

For fans who have been itching to get their hands on Blueberry Pie Oreos for years, the brand is offering a pre-sale for the cookies beginning June 30. However, to access the pre-sale, you’ll first need to register. From June 26 to 29, you can sign up for the pre-sale on Oreo’s site. Then, on June 30, you’ll receive a link to purchase packs of the Blueberry Pie Oreos, while supplies last. 

If you can wait just a little bit longer—or can’t snag a pack before they sell out during the pre-sale—Blueberry Pie Oreos will eventually hit retailer shelves. Oreo says the returning flavor will begin rolling out to retailers nationwide beginning July 7 for a limited time.

With fans finally seeing one of their most requested flavors back on shelves, it’s safe to assume that Blueberry Pie Oreos will be a hot commodity this summer. A word of advice? If you see a pack, grab it while you can.
