By now, it comes as absolutely no surprise when we see fall and Halloween products on shelves in July. As brands try to beat Starbucks to the pumpkin spice latte punch, the season creeps in earlier and earlier. And, yes, we’ve all heard of Christmas in July, but the Summerween trend seems to be getting an even larger following.
With Halloween candy and fall-inspired coffee creamers already spotted on shelves, pretty soon we’ll be seeing some familiar faces in the cereal aisle, such as Count Chocula, vampire Cap’n Crunch, and the mummified Flintstones on Pebbles. And joining the Halloween lineup this year is an all-new Oreo cereal that’s guaranteed to put a smile on even the spookiest jack-o-lantern face.
Oreo Puffs is releasing its first-ever Halloween cereal.
Post Releases New Halloween Oreo Puffs Cereal

In late 2024, Post announced the discontinuation of its Oreo O’s cereal in place of its new Oreo Puffs cereal, which features sweetened corn and oat cereal made with real Oreo cookie wafers and marshmallows. After just a few months on shelves, the brand is already launching its second product: Halloween Oreo Puffs.
While the cereal itself is the same (crunchy chocolatey puffs made from Oreo cookies and marshmallows), the product offers a new, spooky surprise: it changes your milk’s color. Once you add milk, the cereal turns it orange—much like the signature orange creme found in Oreo’s Halloween cookies (which we’ll likely start to see on shelves again soon).
The limited-edition Halloween Oreo Puffs can be found in a festive package—complete with orange text and bats—next to the original cereal at your local grocery store. Oreo Puffs’ Halloween offering will begin rolling out to retailers nationwide on August 1, where it will be available through October, while supplies last.
Now that’s how to start a day with perfectly spooky vibes. Maybe that’s what they really mean when they say breakfast of champions.
