Ocean Spray Has 2 New First-Of-Their-Kind Snacks Coming To Stores

Ocean Spray’s iconic dried cranberry snack, Craisins, have long been a hit with snack food fans. From subbing these flavorful dried cranberries for raisins in oatmeal cookies to adding a handful of the sweet, fruity bites to chicken salad, Craisins are a versatile treat we like to keep stocked year-round.

Every now and again, Ocean Spray mixes things up by creating an all-new variety of its Craisins Dried Cranberries, and we’re here for every iteration. Last year, we couldn’t get enough of the brand’s S’mores Dipped Cranberry Mix, a tasty blend of chocolate-covered Craisins and honey graham pie chips to mimic the taste of the ultimate campfire snack. Now, just in time for road tripping and poolside snacking, Ocean Spray has dropped two all-new varieties of Craisins.

Ocean Spray Launches 2 New Craisins Flavors

Craisins have been in grocery aisles for more than 30 years, but these new flavors are brand-new to fans. First up, there’s Sour Blueberry Lemon, a sweet-and-sour mash-up with notes of tart lemon and sweet blueberry. Then, there’s a “swicy” (sweet and spicy) Chili Lime variety, a blend of tangy lime and just the right amount of chili heat. Both are available at Walmart with a suggested retail price of about $3 for a 6-ounce bag. 

To celebrate the new flavors, Ocean Spray is launching its Flavor Rush campaign, which will have several activations including a cross-country van tour dishing out samples later this summer. It’ll be a great way to try the new flavors—that is, if you can wait that long to snag them.

We’re already pondering uses for these tasty bites of dried fruit. Chili Lime Craisins would be the perfect addition to summer party appetizers like a Cranberry Cheese Ball, and we’d love to toss Sour Blueberry Lemon Craisins into some Cranberry Orange Bread for a flavor boost. Either new Craisins flavor would work well in dishes like tossed salads or this Baked Barbecue Chicken, but who are we kidding? We’ll be over the moon to just eat these tasty treats by the handful when we finally snag them on our next Walmart run.
