We’re staunch believers of the TikTok-famous “three drink rule”—one drink for energy, one for enjoyment, and one for hydration. While many of us choose plain water as our hydration beverage, sometimes we need something with a few more added benefits.
When that’s the case, we tend to turn to drinks with extra electrolytes and vitamins—like Gatorade. And while you can never go wrong with a classic Gatorade flavor, like Lemon Lime or Cool Blue, the brand has so many more hydrating drinks to choose from.
In 2024, Gatorade launched a new line of beverages with an “advanced blend of electrolytes,” called Gatorade Hydration Booster. In addition to the hydrating ingredients in the classic sports drink, the new Hydration Booster Gatorade options contain 100 percent of your daily value of vitamins A, B3, B5, B6, and C.
Following the success of Gatorade Hydration Booster, the PepsiCo brand is releasing another new version of the beverage—this time with two additional supplements. For those not just looking to replenish their electrolytes and vitamins, but also relax while doing so, Gatorade is releasing new Hydration Booster Relax powder packets.

Gatorade’s new “Relax” Hydration Booster packets feature the same essential vitamins, including A, B3, B5, B6, and C, with the added benefit of L-theanine and magnesium to help consumers unwind.
L-theanine is an amino acid that’s naturally found in green tea and mushrooms, and is known to help reduce anxiety as well as improve sleep quality. Magnesium, which is found in many leafy vegetables, grains, and other foods, can be helpful in reducing anxiety and improving sleep quality.
The Gatorade Sports Science Institute developed the new formula to “help promote relaxation,” according to the institute’s director Matt Pahnke.
Gatorade’s Relax Hydration Booster drinks will be sold in a Raspberry Lemon flavor in powder packet form. Each box contains six packets and can be purchased on Amazon now.
In addition to the new drink formula, Gatorade is releasing two brand new stainless steel bottles, including a 32-ounce Overtime Bottle and 36-ounce Crossover Stainless Steel Tumbler. The Overtime Bottle is available now at Dick’s Sporting Goods, with the tumbler rolling out to Dick’s shelves later in August.
We guess now our beverage trifecta has to include a hydrating and relaxing drink for the end of the day.
