GAINESVILLE, Fla. (WCJB) – The long-time owner of Milam Funeral and Cremation Services, Marcus “Mickey” Milam, died at 84 in Gainesville Friday morning.
The house on Main Street, where the company is headquartered, was built in 1885 and purchased by Milam in 1990.
The U.S. Army veteran started working at the home in the late 1960s.
Family members have not yet announced a date for his service in Gainesville.
