Clemson football vs LSU gets updated start time

A slight change to the official start time for Saturday’s top-10 matchup between the Clemson Tigers and LSU was announced Monday night.

During “Tiger Sports Hour,” Dabo Swinney’s weekly radio program, host and Clemson radio play-by-play broadcaster Don Munson announced the game will kick off at 7:52 p.m. ET.

Clemson-LSU had been listed as a 7:30 p.m. start for months, but games broadcast on either ESPN or ABC often get underway later than their announced kickoff times due to network overlap and time windows, so the change isn’t exactly unusual.

Alabama visits Florida State in the 3:30 p.m. window on ABC before Clemson-LSU. ESPN’s top college football broadcast team of Chris Fowler and Kirk Herbstreit will be on the call for the showdown in Death Valley. Holly Rowe and Molly McGrath will report from the sidelines.

Fowler and Herbstreit will be calling their first game at Clemson Memorial Stadium since Oct. 1, 2022, when the Tigers defeated rival NC State in a top 10 showdown. That was also the last time ESPN’s “College GameDay” has selected Clemson as a host.

Clemson is ranked No. 4 in the preseason AP Top 25 poll. LSU is ranked No. 9 in both the AP poll and US LBM Coaches Poll.
