The rubber match of this week’s Cincinnati Reds–Philadelphia Phillies series was delayed by rain Wednesday afternoon at Great American Ball Park. The tarp came on the field more than an hour before the scheduled game time in anticipation of storms in the area.
The Phillies won the opener of the series 4-1 on Monday with a four-run rally with two out in the eighth. The Reds beat the Phillies 6-1 Tuesday.
