Aldi Has a Nordic Ware Copycat—and It’s Nearly 90 Percent Cheaper

Everyone has their go-to brand for cookware and kitchen appliances. Maybe you’re a fan of Kitchenaid, which sells everything from cordless kitchen vacuums to the iconic stand mixers. Or perhaps you equip your kitchen using a more modern approach with Caraway’s trendy, ceramic products. Some even prefer a sentimental collection of vintage pieces from brands like Pyrex or Nordic Ware.

Nordic Ware, in particular, dominated when we tested several different brands to determine the best bundt pans. With a rich history dating back to the 1940s, the cookware company continues to produce high-quality pieces that are as practical as they are aesthetically pleasing. It’s no secret that these items come with a hefty price tag, but luckily, Aldi just dropped a copycat that is spot on.

Aldi’s Crofton Fluted Tube Small Baking Pan

If you’ve had your eye on the popular Kugelhopf Bundt Pan from Nordic Ware, you need to get to Aldi stat. This week’s Aldi Finds include the Crofton Fluted Tube Small Baking Pan—and it offers some strong competition for the Nordic Ware classic. The grooves and signature angular shape are strikingly similar. But Aldi’s version is nearly 90 percent less than Nordic Ware’s version.

The new pans are sold under Aldi’s cookware brand, Crofton, which has been known to put out some pretty convincing copycats of big brands such as Lodge, Pottery Barn, Anthropologie, Williams Sonoma, and even Le Creuset. Made of heavy-gauge carbon steel, the Aldi pan has excellent heat distribution and is oven safe up to 450 degrees F. You can also find the pan in gold, gray, and green, meaning there are plenty of options to fit your kitchen’s aesthetic.

One minor drawback is that the Aldi pan is only available in a small size, so you may need to cut your go-to pound cake recipe in half. Or you could snag a few of the pans and make several mini cakes. Small size aside, the pan retails for $3.99, so it’s a steal compared to the $38 Nordic Ware pan.

Wondering how to put your new pan to use? Get inspired with our easy bundt recipes, including a zesty lemon cake, tender apple cakes, and even savory monkey bread. Or lean into the mini cake theme by making our small-but-satisfying maple-pecan pound cakes.

As per usual, Aldi Finds are weekly deals. And with the appeal of this new copycat pan, we’re pretty confident that it won’t last long.
