A New Dr Pepper Drink Is Hitting Drive-Thrus

On the hottest days, there’s nothing like cooling off with a trip to the drive-thru. And this summer there’s no shortage of options to choose from. You can hit the Wendy’s drive-thru for a sour Powerade boost, or stop by White Castle for a drink inspired by Marvel’s new “Ironheart” series. Alternatively, if you like thick and creamy options, you can grab an ice cream-inspired frozen coffee at Dunkin’. 

But if you can’t choose between an ice-cold soda or a creamy frozen creation, you’re in luck. One popular burger chain just launched an all-new menu option that combines the two into one delicious item you won’t find anywhere else—but it’s only available for a limited time. 

Freddy’s Adds New Dr Pepper Frost to Its Summer Menu

Freddy’s Frozen Custard & Steakburgers just added a refreshing new frozen drink option to its menu. The Kansas-based chain is expanding its selection of Frosts, a lineup that currently includes Lemonade and Orange Cream options. While the previous two have a citrus profile, the new drink will feature a beloved soda flavor: Dr Pepper.

Starting July 9, you can snag a Freddy’s Dr Pepper Frost, which features the popular soda blended with the restaurant’s signature vanilla custard. The drink is topped with a generous portion of whipped cream, making it the perfect milkshake alternative to pair with the chain’s iconic golden shoestring fries and thin and crispy steak burgers.

“Freddy’s Frosts feature a lighter, refreshing taste made with our signature freshly churned vanilla frozen custard, and we’re excited to add the Dr Pepper Frost to our existing lineup of Frosts for a limited time,” said Rick Petralia, Director of Menu Strategy and Innovation at Freddy’s, in a recent press release. “The new treat combines our rich and creamy frozen custard with the one-of-a-kind taste of Dr Pepper’s iconic 23 flavors.”

Dr Pepper Frosts will be available at participating Freddy’s locations nationwide, but only through August 26, so you’ll have to act fast if you want to snag this new frozen drink.
