With hot summer weather on the rise, a cool beverage makes all the difference. Whether it’s a tall glass of iced tea or a creamy milkshake from your go-to fast food spot, staying hydrated is especially fun, thanks to the countless new beverages popping up this season.
If bubbly drinks are more your style, there are plenty of options available. My favorite soda brand is adding a new sparkling water to its lineup, and it sounds like the drink of the season.
Spindrift Just Released Yuzu Mandarin Sparkling Water
Spindrift just added a new flavor to its sparkling water lineup: Yuzu Mandarin. The release was inspired by many requests from Spindrift fans, affectionately known as “drifters.” If you haven’t tried the brand’s sparkling waters, what sets them apart from the rest is that they’re flavored with fresh fruit juice rather than natural flavors. “Drifters always ask us to create custom batches of Spindrift special fruits–yuzu is one of the most-requested–so we’re thrilled to make this flavor available,” said Spindrift CEO Dave Burwick.
The newest addition is flavored with the best-tasting yuzus and mandarins, sourced from Japan and California. It has a perfect balance of tartness and sweetness, thanks to the blend of two unique citrus fruits.
But if you live in New York City, you’re in luck: Spindrift fans can receive complimentary cans of the new flavor at Momofuku Noodle Bar’s East Village and Uptown locations. The award-winning restaurant is partnering with Spindrift to offer a limited-time menu inspired by the beverage.
The collaboration will include two dishes, the Tempura Dorade, which features snap peas, watercress, horseradish, and a lemon vinaigrette, and the Roasted Garlic Noodles with Blue Prawns, miso, and asparagus. The new dishes and complimentary cans are only available until August 8th.
The Yuzu Mandarin flavor is also only available for a limited time—there’s only a single batch being produced, so once it’s sold out, that’s it! If you want to try this newest flavor, order a case of 24 cans for about $26 on the Spindrift website before it’s gone.
